Just a quick update because I know ya'll are all on the edge of your seats dying to know how my life is going. *cue reader eye roll* Also note, this will be my first and only post sans photos because blogger is being douchey.
If anything, it had gotten worse. I woke up one morning with my foot throbbing while just lying in bed. Before, it only hurt to walk on. I have been popping Motrin and rolling with a water bottle to no avail. I guess I kept telling myself it would go away. I have tried everything short of chopping it off. My husband suggested compression so he wrapped it for me on Saturday. All it did was throb more. His sister, an RN, suggested applying heat, no ice. This was the first time I'd heard this but I was willing to try it. She loaned me a heating pad and that lasted about 20 solid minutes of torture. Never again. The only thing that seems to help is ice and stretching. Thankfully, I was able to schedule a free sports injury evaluation with a Physical Therapist tomorrow morning. This morning it is slightly better, but the pain is still there. Thanks to all my amazing readers who have offered advice! Just keep praying I am not out of the half marathon for good! I will absolutely see a doctor when our insurance kicks in if I'm still in pain.
Friday night we went to dinner with our neighbors at Bonefish Grill. Great company and great food. We're in the midst of hunting season so S has been up at 4 on weekends for that. I am a light sleeper people. Not a good combo. Of course with his new job he's been up at 4:50 so I better get used to it. I'm hoping my morning 5am workouts stick. I'll be up anyway.
Saturday was a lazy day for me as I had been elevating my foot. Just waited for S to return. He took a nap then we ventured out for dinner and Rascal Scooter Racing.
Yes, I rode the cart at the Walmarts. New all time low. My foot didn't hurt though, so I win. We had a ton of items to buy so I know I'd do alot of walking and I didn't even want to put myself through that. Slap a tiara on me and call me Honey Boo Boo.
Sunday I went to the gym because I just had to. I did a great arm work out and some abs and rode the stationary bike for the 7 miles I missed running on Saturday. It felt good to be active and my arms are sore today. Love it!
I have been excited about the new season since months ago when it was announced that Jillian was back. Who else has a severe girl crush on Ms. Michaels?
(insert phtoto of Jillian's abs)
I want to be her and marry her in Hawaii all at the same time. I definitely was brought to tears a couple times during last night's episode. Don't hate! I am so looking forward to watching this season though. Any favorite competitors so far? I was so sad TC had to leave!
More tomorrow after my appointment, and this week will be the first give away for OPERATION RED BIKINI Participants! Stay tuned:)
